According to Merriam Webster Dictionary the word list is defined in some of the following ways: 1. desire 2. listen 3. a band or strip of material 4. to tilt to one side 5. a simple series of words or numerals. There is not room here to list all the varying definitions of the word list. We desire lists and lists are everywhere. Lists are employed in all forms of writing and are capable of leading us to many marvelous places. Lists provide ways to explore the ineffable chaos and connect with it. In this generative craft session, we will look at poetic lists, pragmatic lists, visual lists, sonic lists, and more. We will explore how lists can put us in touch with new ways of linking language, ideas, feelings, and meaning together.
