NEXT GALAXY POETRY INITIATIVE
This initiative is to save Ruth Stone’s house in Goshen, Vermont from further decay and neglect. The initiative invites volunteers to come and help clean, clear, tear down, and rebuild. Poets are greatly encouraged to take part in this as we set aside time to write or use the letterpress during the visit.
Where once writers, friends and family gathered, we hope to bring back a vibrant, creative community again, and to go further by creating a small press within the house and a space for readings and events.
Foundation Replacement!
With the subfloors redone, new flooring has been installed in the master bedroom and living rooms.
A New Porch!
After years of neglect and damage from rain and snow, the front porch was restore to its former glory!
Walls re-framed & drywall-ed!
New windows have been installed in several rooms, here the master bedroom gets two windows where there was once only one.
Clapboard Replacement
Much of the siding on the Ruth Stone House has been replaced in recent years.
